I can’t run Skype without having a 20 sec lag, the sound system is not totally functional. I’ve expected to have everything run smoother than 8.10 or even 7.04 but I’ve experienced a lot of problems that I thought gone with me switching totally to Ubuntu from windows.

My comp is a peice of crap and jaunty doesnt like that very much. I have a really crappy video card, but it works so thats not all that bad. ive had 8.4 and 8.10 on this computor and was able to watch movies, videos, the like. when i upgraded to jaunty- movie player, miro, and vlc (the one i know and love) crash when loading a video. The programs work great until a viseo is applied. My internet adapter wasnt compatible also, but that wasnt an issue because i had another one and it sucked anyways. I got a new one that works out of the box for 19.99.

overall i love ubuntu and i cant wait until i get a new motherboard so i can upgrade this thing like crazy and get all that ubuntu offers (like desktop effects)

so i guess the video thing isnt that bad because im running on a windows 98 type computor (it was a donation) with the worst video card ya ever saw
