All of the drivers would be handled within Mythbuntu itself. Linux has all it's own drivers so doing system updates would update approved drivers. Mythbuntu will even prompt you to install Nvidia and ATI drivers while installing. If you need other drivers that are not approved you could download those from the manufacturer (if they have Linux drivers available). As for the bios updates. That would be done via a boot disk. Most motherboard manufacturers allow the bios to be updated by booting from a CD or USB drive.

Thanks for myth howto pt1.

I've been doing a lot of research on a MythTV box and I'm about to purchase all of the hardware. One of the things I haven't been able to find anywhere is if I build the PC and want a clean install of mythbuntu (NO Windows!) at what point to you install driver updates for the BIOS and GPU? After installing OS but before running Myth setup I'm assuming. Please mention this in pt2 of MythTV how to.

Thanks Again!

I don't know if it's just YouTube or what but the audio/video sync gets way off. Don't know if there is anything you can do about it but thought I would let you know just in case.
