Installation:
All hardware was recognized without modification using Mythbuntu 8.04.1
Usage:
The computer was fairly slow because of hard drive speed and video card. I returned the computer for a refund to buy my current AOpen machine.
Solved problems:
1. Needed to open security hole to allow external eSATA hard drive. Although this turned out to be useless because the Mac Mini would not detect the external hard drive.
2. I had to configure Lirc to work with a different remote besides the given Apple remote.
Outstanding problems:
1. Hard drive speed and size is limiting factor in live video and recording video.
2. Video card is limiting factor for HD video.
Notes:
I only had this machine for a couple weeks and was not able to use it as my only MythTV machine because I wanted to make sure I could still return the system under warranty.
